Screen Filter App review: Dim up your screen!
Have you ever tried using your Android phone on a dark location like a cinema or on your dark room?, Have you ever turned Asian when you see your phone on the dark? (That was a joke so laugh, lol), or simply is your screen too bright for you even it is at its lowest setting to use?, well say no more,
The Screen Filter from haxor industry is there for you.
So what is Screen Filter?
The Screen Filter app is an application that is used to reduce the brightness of your screen for night-time, dark places or anywhere you prefer having a dim displays, like web browsing, eBook reading, text messaging, or gaming. The Screen Filter not also reduces brightness of the screen but since it reduces the brightness, it also saves battery more! due to the lessened brightness on the screen which is perfect for AMOLED displays
So how does the Screen Filter work?, he screen filter acts like a black tint to your screen in which it dims the display, when you run the app it directly applies the brightness reduction to your screen. The brightness reduction is applied through percentage you can manually enter the digits or you can glide through the slider to select your own setting. So once you enabled Screen Filter, it will automatically adjust the screen brightness.
So as you can see, there is a great difference between the lowest brightness setting to the screen filter on, which you can see and view stuff comfortably, easier, and less strain in the eyes in the dark. I have personally loved this app since i was on Android 2.3 Gingerbread, and now still fully compatible using on the Ice Cream Sandwich on my Samsung Galaxy Note N-7000 having a AMOLED HD screen.
Pros:
- Allows lower brightness level from the default Android brightness level
- Improves battery life
- Allows more comfortable viewing in dim/dark places
- Hassle free and Instant application of the filter, no loadings and etc.
- Works well with different screen especially with AMOLED screens.
- Low memory consumption
- FREE!
- No Ads
Cons:
- Too dim levels.
- Zero screen visibility on bright locations (e.g. outdoors)
- Needs an automatic dim feature. (timed mode)
I give the app a high 90% score because the Screen Filter does its job well with more features and simplicity, providing Android users a comfortable way to view their Smartphones.
